Treatments.

White Fillings.

Many patients are choosing to have white filling material placed when their old metal fillings need replacing. This will replace unsightly grey fillings that match the natural tooth shade. White fillings are not suitable in all situations but your dentist will be able to give you their expert opinion in each case.

Crowns.

A tooth that has been broken or weakened by decay or a very large filling may require a crown. The remaining tooth is expertly shaped by your dentist and a crown is constructed that fits/caps over the remaining tooth. This restores the tooth to full function and can also improve its appearance.

Bridges.

A bridge is a prosthetic appliance that is permanently attached to remaining teeth and replaces a missing tooth or teeth. There are several types/designs of bridge each of which is suitable for different cases. Your dentist will first assess the health of the remaining teeth before discussing the options for replacing any missing teeth. A bridge will often be a part of these options.

Veneers.

Tooth veneers are one of the options for improving the appearance of the teeth. Veneers are a very thin layer of porcelain that fit to the fronts of the teeth. Our specialist technicians can make the porcelain so that it can be used to improve the colour and shape of the teeth

Implants.

Dental implants are one of the options for replacing a missing tooth or teeth. They look, feel or function just as one of your own natural teeth. Some implants are done at Heathcote House and we also work closely with a local specialist centre.

Tooth Whitening.

Tooth whitening can be a very effective way of lightening the teeth. Professional tooth whitening does not cause the removal of the tooth surface so it is completely non invasive.

Cfast Braces.

Cfast is a simple, gentle, minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that corrects alignment issues with the top and bottom front six teeth, and can level and round out the arches, thus satisfying the needs of the vast majority of adult patients who seek orthodontic treatment.

  Duncan Hamilton looked after my elderly mother with care and professionalism. She needed her denture plate mending without which she was struggling to eat.   I had broken a tooth and after calling was given an appointment 2 hours later.  My usual dentist wasn’t in but I was given an appointment with Dan.  He was amazing and talked me through what he was doing as I’m very nervous of going to the dentist! Thank you

  I have been a patient of Heathcote for many years and have every confidence and trust in my dentist ,Mike Hunter and my hygienist Rebekah. Mr Hunter is very professional, .friendly and caring and skilful and gentle in his treatments. He explains everything he is doing and is always willing to answer any questions. Similarly Rebekah  is also very caring, skilled and friendly. She explains everything she is doing and why and gives good advice on looking after my teeth. It is so important to have this good, trusting relationship with professionals who are looking after you and make you feel at ease. All the staff working at Heathcote  are friendly and efficient. I would have every confidence in recommending the practice to anyone.
